Day 1: Guide Picks You Up

Your guide will pick you up from Entebbe international airport or your guesthouse and drive you to western Uganda. On your way, stretch your legs at the Uganda Equator, take photos then proceed. Lunch at the lodge then go for a boat cruise. On the way back at sunset, game drive your way to the lodge, have dinner then overnight at Rwakobo Rock Resort. Drive time: 4.5 hours

Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive

Do an early morning game drive and search for zebras, giraffes and impalas among others. Proceed to Bwindi Gorilla Park, arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge. At sunset enjoy traditional dance from the local community at the lodge! Stay at Gorilla Friends Resort. Drive time: 4 hours

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking

Trek the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable Park. Wake up early to prepare for your gorilla trek — gear up with gloves, long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses, insect repellent, energy food, and enough drinking water. Transfer to the starting point, receive briefing then proceed for trekking (2–6 hours). Spend a full magical hour with the mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Head For Kibale National Park

After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park through Queen Elizabeth NP on the highway to Fort Portal. See the foothills of the Rwenzori, crater lakes of Uganda and rivers from the glaciers of the Mountains of the Moon. Arrive in Fort Portal in about 4–5 hours. Overnight at Boulevard Excelsior Guest House.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp

After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park for briefing and trekking. Experience chimpanzees for a full hour. Alongside trekking, look out for birds and other primates. After trekking, drive to Bigodi for lunch then a community swamp walk at Bigodi Sanctuary.

Day 6: To Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, drive to Kampala or Entebbe with lunch on the way. Drive time: 5 hours. End of this Ugandan trip!
